Figures for January-June 2026 show a 9.0% rise year-on-year for terminals in which Cosco Shipping Ports is involved. Handlings of Chinese interests grew by 3.7% to 40.8 million, whilst its overseas properties increased by 18.4% to 20.5 million TEU. The overseas performance was principally the result of additional terminals in Thailand (Laem Chabang) and Egypt (Sokhna) plus a more than doubling of business at Chancay (Peru). Without these, overseas growth would have been less than 2%.
