Following CMA CGM’s earlier return of some of its North Europe-Far East services to the Suez route, the CoscoSL-operated AEU1 and AEU3 services, both part of the Ocean Alliance (CMA CGM, CoscoSL/OOCL and Evergreen) portfolio, will also start using the waterway again, albeit eastbound only. Their rotations will remain unchanged:
• AEU3 – Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, [Suez], Shanghai, Tianjin, Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Singapore, Rotterdam
• AEU1 – Felixstowe, Zeebrugge, Gdansk, Wilhelmshaven, [Suez], Singapore, Shenzhen (Yantian), Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Yantian, Singapore, Felixstowe
The Ocean Alliance will also return the CoscoSL/OOCL-operated Mediterranean Far East AEM3 service to the Suez route. It will no longer extend to the West Mediterranean, where it previously called at Valencia, but will add Mersin instead. Simultaneously, the fleet will be reduced from fourteen to twelve ships of around 14,000 TEU, calling: Piraeus, Izmit, Istanbul (Ambarli), Mersin, Piraeus, Port Kelang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Shenzhen (Shekou), Nansha, Ho Chi Minh (Cai Mep), Singapore and back to Piraeus.
